Why we all need flowers
My love of flowers started young; we were blessed with a Mum who loved her garden. We grew up in a home with abundant grounds. Mum worked tirelessly to nurture beds full of everything from vegetables, roses, and annuals, but her love was the humble Dahlia. Our garden beds sprouted Dahlia’s in every colour, shape, size and variety. It was here I began to see and feel the how flowers have an impact. Mum was not only a wonderful green thumb, but a highly respected Nurse and a natural giver.
It seemed only natural that Floristry would be my calling. Flowers have always been an important part of my fibre, but sharing them with others is my passion. It is my personal belief that every home and or workplace should have flowers.
Sadly, our much-loved Mum lost her long battle with the Dementia in late 2023. During her battle the garden and flowers provided us a strong connection to memories, peace, and a place of much needed calm.
Fresh blooms promote joy, add colour, interest, and texture to otherwise bland spaces. Flowers and plants help to clean the air we breathe, and support lower stress levels, and in turn blood pressure. Weather blooms are picked from the garden, or supplied by your local supermarket, or florist, they are good for the mind, body and soul.

Here, I’m not just a florist; I’m also a proud member of this vibrant community, weaving connections with neighbors and nurturing a love for all things floral.
